Ⅰ.Critical Safety Protocols

🛑 Consult Physician Before Use:

• Have implanted medical devices (pacemakers, insulin pumps, metal joints). Infrared light may interfere with these devices' normal operation or adversely affect implants.
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding. Thermal effects may affect fetal development.
• Experience unexplained skin lesions (open wounds, rashes, or active eczema). Using the device may worsen skin conditions.
• Are unconscious or intoxicated.
Note: If any discomfort occurs, stop using immediately and consult your doctor.

⚠️ High-Risk Scenarios:

• "Burned my skin!" → Avoid combining with topical creams (e.g., Bengay, retinol) unless a light sensitivity test is performed first.
• "Worsened my migraine!" → Avoid temple exposure; maintain ≥ 6 inches from the head and strictly control the single irradiation duration.
• "Device overheated!" → Ensure at least 4 inches (10 cm) clearance from walls & never cover vents.

🔍 Mandatory Pre-Use Checklist:

Light Sensitivity Test
 ◦ Expose a 2x2 inch forearm area for 10 mins at 6 inches (15 cm).
 ◦ If redness or edema occurs, immediately stop using the device and contact our customer service via email at service@poraise.com or visit www.poraise.com for assistance.
Medication Alert
 ◦ Consult your doctor before using the device if taking the following:
   ▪ Antibiotics (e.g., tetracycline, doxycycline)
   ▪ Antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline, imipramine)
   ▪ Acne medications (e.g., isotretinoin, acitretin)

Ⅱ.General Therapy References

📊 Distance & Time Recommendations

We recommend the following general guidelines based on our extensive experience with red light therapy. Ideally, maintain around 6 inches (15 cm) when using the device. As light intensity and dosage decrease with distance due to natural attenuation during transmission, if you need to adjust the distance, make corresponding changes to the treatment time, but always keep it within 18 inches for optimal and safe results.

Keep in mind that individual factors may necessitate personalized adjustments, yet for most users, the following time and frequency settings are advisable.

For optimal therapeutic adaptation, we advise the following regimen:
Weekly Frequency: Use the device a minimum of 4 days per week.
Treatment Cycle: Maintain this routine for at least 1 full month to allow physiological adjustment.
Per-Session Duration: Apply the device to each treatment zone for 20-30 minutes.
Daily Safety Threshold: Do not exceed 90 minutes of cumulative use within 24 hours.
Multi-Zone Protocol: When treating separate body areas, allow at least 4 hours between sessions on different zones.

⏳ Progressive Adaptation Schedule (New Users)

For first-time users, please gradually increase the treatment time at an interval of 5 - 10 minutes to allow your body to adapt to this adjustment. Start with a short treatment time and extend it gradually as your body gets used to it.

🔗 Device Synchronization Instructions

• Synchronous Advantage: Devices are designed for synchronous use, enhancing effects and enabling multi-part treatment to boost efficiency.
• Connection Method: Connect via the designated dual ports on the back of each device. See "Getting to Know Your Appliance" on page 10 for details.
• Accessory Notice: The cables required for synchronization are not included and must be purchased separately.
• Effect Enhancement: By synchronizing two same-model devices, you can conduct a more comprehensive treatment targeting multiple body areas, maximizing treatment effectiveness.

👁️Eye Protection Guide

• Must Do
▸ Black Goggles (full coverage): Use when you need maximum protection - completely blocks all light, including therapeutic red light. Ideal for intense treatments.
▸ Green Goggles (NIR-filter): Special lenses let you see the red treatment light while blocking 99% of invisible infrared rays. Use when you need to check device placement.
▸ Always keep eyes gently closed under the goggles during treatment if sensitive.
• Never Do
▸ Stare directly at the LEDs for over 30 seconds - even with goggles on
▸ Use the device immediately after using eye-dilating drops; wait at least 1 hour
• Emergency Response
See blurry vision/flashing spots? Stay calm! Most users feel relief within 30 minutes.
▸ Step 1: Gently rotate closed eyes (10 full circles clockwise)
▸ Step 2: Apply a chilled damp towel over the eyes (cooled in the fridge, not frozen)
▸ Step 3: If persists >20 mins, please consult eye specialists
• Helpful Notes
▸ "Temporary light spots" after treatment are normal (like camera flash after-effects) and should fade within 15 minutes
▸ Clean both types of goggles weekly with a lens cleaner. Smudges compromise protection
No lens cleaner? → Wipe with water or mild dish soap (rinse thoroughly).
▸ Black goggles = total darkness mode | Green goggles = see red light safely
